VA Tech WABAG Announces Q1 FY 19 Results – Secures New Orders Worth Over INR 500 Cr

VA Tech WABAG Limited, a leading Indian Multinational Company in the water sector has announced its financial results for the quarter and three months ended 30th June, 2018.

The highlights of 3M FY ‘19 are:

• Consolidated Revenue is up by 3% to INR 688 Crore
• Consolidated EBITDA is up by 54% to INR 65 Crore
• Consolidated PAT is up by 56% to INR 13 Crore
• The order book is over Rs. 7,358 Crore including the framework contracts of about Rs. 700 Crore

The company has secured following orders:

INR 171 Crore ZLD Plant in Chattisgarh
Continuing its success in the Steel sector, WABAG has secured an order worth INR 171 Crore from National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) towards Design, Erection and Commissioning of Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Plant at Integrated Steel Plant, Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh. The project will be self-financed by the client and includes Operation & Maintenance for 5 years. The recycling plant will ensure Zero Liquid Discharge through Multi Effect Evaporation System.

EUR 20 Million ETP in Romania
WABAG Romania (WABRO) has secured an order worth EUR 20 Million from Purolite, Romania towards Design & Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) for the client’s resin production facility. The plant will ensure effluent discharge in accordance with the Romanian water quality regulations. WABRO will also Operate & Maintain the plant for a period of 15 years, post completion. The project will be completed in a period of 20 months.

EUR 9.5 Million BWRO Plant in Saudi Arabia
WABAG Austria (WABAT) has converted the Phase 4 of Al Saad BWRO, Saudi Arabia framework contract into order intake during the quarter. The company is already executing Phase 1 & 2, of this project towards pre-treatment plant for a capacity of 400 MLD and Phase 3 towards design and supply of a new drinking water treatment plant.
